Paua: Regional Asset Values

The graphs below show the trends in päua asset values for each region from 1996 to 2003.

All regions have increased in value since 1996, with the exception of Northland/Auckland,
which decreased in 1998 from $220,000 to $100,000. The Chatham Islands had the most significant increase in value for this period (up 150 percent). Both the Kermadec and the Sub- Antarctic regions were only introduced to the QMS in 2002, and both had asset values of around $200,000 for 2002 and 2003.
